after getting some good response from my post about reusing shower curtains (whooduh thunk?) i decided that it is time--- it is time for my revolution, time for world domination! spreading the good word of living sustainably.
so i'm going to let you into some of my RRR secrets.
i think i will just do one 'material' at a time, so these don't get too long.
cardboard packaging:
large boxes (eg from something you ordered off the internet)
shoe boxes
cardboard containers
cardboard containers from frozen lunches
uses:
- keep large boxes. you generally have a lot of crap hanging around your house. take advantage of the boxes to pack some of that crap away.
- shoe boxes are good for holding: bottles of glue+rolls of tape; all of your flip flops in the winter time;
- cardboard containers (cereal boxes): i sew, so i keep these for patterns and stuff. i also use them for the homemade notebooks. um. well, i encourage you to make notebooks. if you do, i swear you'll be like, 'what?! i was throwing away/recycling this much paper before using it again? what kind of person am i?!'
i love windmills....
btw if anyone else is interested in buying land, buying a wind turbine and starting a sustainable B&B with tours of the turbines, lemme know.
