humbling

going from buffalo to dc is certainly a humbling experience.

today i met with a woman who works at NRDC. last night i was researching her and shaking in my boots thinking about meeting with her --- this woman has a PhD, has worked as a VP of Policy at NWF and Defenders of Wildlife, has testified before Congress..... yeah. this woman knows what she's talking about.

then i ended up being late b/c the bus was PACKED .... oi. color me flustered. and then she tells me that most times jobs are filled before they even post the JD on line... and i'm like, boy, just shoot me now.

talk about being a teeny tiny little piece of algae on the belly of a little krill in a big old ocean...
